🔒 Privacy Policy

Your privacy matters to us.

SteadyEDGE is a personal growth and behavioral training app. The work you do here is personal, and sometimes deeply so. We take that seriously. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and how we protect it. No legal fog. No surprises.

Overview

SteadyEDGE ("we," "us," or "our") operates the SteadyEDGE app and website (steadyedge.app). This Privacy Policy applies to information collected through our platform, including your account, app usage, training sessions, and communications with us.

By using SteadyEDGE, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the platform.

We collect only what we need to make the app work, support your account, and improve the platform. We never sell your personal data. Your session content belongs to you.

Information We Collect

Information you provide directly:

  • Account registration details, including your name, email address, and password
  • Payment information, processed securely by our payment provider — we do not store card numbers
  • Privately stored session content
  • Communications you send to us directly, including email and support requests

Information collected automatically:

  • Device type, operating system, and browser
  • App usage data, including which features you use, session frequency, and time spent
  • Log data, including IP address, access times, and pages viewed
  • Crash reports and performance data

We do not collect health or medical records. SteadyEDGE is a behavioral training tool, not a medical or clinical service.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the SteadyEDGE platform
  • Personalize your training experience and track your progress over time
  • Process payments and manage your subscription
  • Send account-related communications, including receipts, password resets, and important updates
  • Send optional training reminders and product updates, which you can opt out of at any time
  • Improve and develop new features based on aggregate app usage
  • Respond to your questions and support requests
  • Comply with legal obligations

We do not use your session content for marketing, advertising, or any purpose beyond delivering your training experience.

How We Store and Protect It

Your data is stored on secure servers using industry-standard encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction of your information.

We retain your account and session data for as long as your account remains active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it by law.

Your session content is private, visible only to you, and not reviewed by SteadyEDGE staff except in exceptional circumstances, such as a safety concern you report to us.

Who We Share Your Information With

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your session content with third parties. We may share limited information with trusted service providers who help us operate the platform, including:

  • Payment processors (e.g., Stripe) — to process your subscription securely
  • Cloud infrastructure providers — to host and deliver the app
  • Analytics providers — to understand aggregate usage patterns (data is anonymized where possible)
  • Email service providers — to send transactional and optional marketing emails

All third-party providers are bound by data processing agreements and are prohibited from using your data for their own purposes.

We may also disclose information if required to do so by law, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the safety of any person or to protect our legal rights.

Sensitive Information & Mental Wellbeing

SteadyEDGE is a behavioral training tool, not a clinical service. However, we recognize that the content you share in sessions may be personal and sensitive in nature.

SteadyEDGE is not therapy and is not a substitute for mental health care. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact a qualified mental health professional or crisis service in your region.

We treat all session content with care. We do not use it for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond delivering your personal training experience. We do not share it with coaches, therapists, employers, insurance providers, or any other third parties without your explicit consent.

Cookies & Tracking

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to maintain your session, remember your preferences, and understand how the app is used. Types of cookies we use:

  • Essential cookies — required for the app to function (login sessions, security)
  • Analytics cookies — help us understand usage patterns in aggregate
  • Preference cookies — remember your settings

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies may affect app functionality. We do not use cookies for third-party advertising.

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Correction — ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information
  • Deletion — request that we delete your personal data
  • Portability — request your data in a structured, machine-readable format
  • Objection — object to certain types of processing (e.g., marketing emails)
  • Restriction — ask us to limit how we use your data in certain circumstances

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address below. We will respond within 30 days. We may ask you to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.

If you are located in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or California, additional rights and protections may apply under GDPR or CCPA.
